Thunderbirds strive to offer quality entertainment to our community. The Thunderbirds bring not only a great sport and activity but also revenue to Dubuque and the Tri-State Area.
THE FANS
The Thunderbirds have the best fans in Junior Hockey! Over 550 were season ticket holders last season. Which is more than most Junior teams will have in attendance for any one game.

#1 in the nation for Junior “B” Attendance Thunderbirds hold the highest attendance record 3 years in a row. A total of 32,599 fans attended games in the 2003-2004 season.
The Dubuque Thunderbirds Junior Hockey Organization is committed to providing hockey players 16-20 years of age the best possible environment to develop their skills in the sport of hockey, as well as their personal and educational skills. It is the commitment of the Thunderbirds organization to move players on to the next level in their hockey careers. NCAA Division I or III levels, Major Jr., or Jr. A (Tier I/II)
